Presented by the KONA COFFEE COUNCIL -  established 1985 to Promote and Protect 100% Kona Coffee

Set in the Hoku Amphitheatre of the renowned Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, this annual Kona Coffee Council event presents a unique opportunity to feature desserts and promote business before an enthusiastic crowd of local and visitor coffee and food connoisseurs

The event is free and open to the public and the 2011 Cream of the Crop promises to be an even greater success than before, not only through the participation of our sponsors which include The Four Seasons Resorts and The Kona Coffee Council, but also from publicity this event has garnered from past successes.

The event will also include:

  • Local island artists to display and sell their art, as well as showcasing exhibits by craftspeople of coffee related works. 
  • Hawaiian Ethnobotanical plants from Amy Greenwell’s Garden will be on display and for sale.
  • Roasting and French-press brewing demonstrations.
  • Local live music will entertain throughout the event, which runs from 10.00AM – 2.00PM. 

The coffee competition features three categories:

  1. Kona Estate Coffee;
  2. Kona Certified Organic; and
  3. Kona Coffee, Open Division

 All desserts must feature 100% Kona Coffee and will be judged in two categories:

  1. Chef’s Choice; and
  2. People’s Choice
