Don't Throw Away Those Coffee Grounds...Make a Table or Chair!

Çurface, a UK company, re-worked and engineered a brand of materials that’s made out of people’s rubbish.

In a very creative way of using recycled wasteÇurface is 30% used coffee grounds and 70% High Impact Polysterene. The sheets are waterproof and can be welded together to create table tops, chairs, counter tops and stools.  The material is smooth, but when scratched, the damage can be sandpapered away, the company claims.

A table costs about US $231 and can be bought—along with other furniture—from the website.  For the first few weeks they smell a bit like coffee.
