World Ocean Day 2011 - June 8, 2011

On World Oceans Day people around the planet celebrate and honor the body of water which links us all, for what it provides humans and what it represents.

Be a part of this growing global celebration!

This World Oceans Day, wear blue clothing to raise awareness for ocean conservation. Speak up! Let those around you know why you’re wearing blue and share two facts about why it’s important to protect our world oceans; or ways they can take personal action and help.

For a list of events in your area, visit the World Oceans Day website list of events page.

Thanks to The Ocean Project and The World Ocean Network for helping to promote and coordinate this event since 2003.
